Get ready—the Scholastic Book Fair is coming to our school! This is a great opportunity to connect with your child over the thrill of bringing home new books to dive into again and again. Studies show that kids read more when they choose books for themselves. A love of independent reading boosts academic success, plus children who read more frequently also report improved mental health

While you’re there, set up a Book Fair eWallet, the digital payment account that allows your child to shop for books at the Fair without cash. Then share your eWallet link so friends and extended family can add funds.

When you fund an eWallet, you’ll have the opportunity to contribute to a giving initiative called Share the Fair™. Your contributions directly support our students who need help buying books from the Fair.

Many of us still remember the rush of finding the perfect book at a Scholastic Book Fair. I hope you’ll join your child at our school’s Fair and share a reading experience they’ll remember forever.

¡Prepárense! La Feria del Libro de Scholastic está llegando a nuestra escuela. Esta es una
gran oportunidad para conectar con su niño o niña por medio del entusiasmo que genera llevar a casa libros nuevos para leerlos una y otra vez. Está demostrado que los niños y las niñas leen más cuando eligen sus propios libros. El amor por la lectura independiente potencia el éxito académico; además, los niños y las niñas que leen con más frecuencia manifiestan una mejor salud mental.

Una vez que hayan accedido a la página, configuren una eWallet para la Feria del Libro, la cuenta de pago digital que permite a su niño o niña comprar libros en la feria sin usar dinero en efectivo. Luego, compartan el enlace de la eWallet así los amigos y familiares pueden aportar fondos.

Al hacer aportes a una eWallet, tienen la oportunidad de contribuir a una iniciativa solidaria llamada Share the Fair™ (Comparte la feria). Sus aportes colaboran de manera directa con los estudiantes que necesitan ayuda para adquirir libros de la Feria.
